Prologue

Our kind, also known as demons and monsters, but our true name Vampires. but have you heard our beginning? Of coarse not how could you? Well let me start this...
        Our past goes way back in the country of Italy, our ancestor Marcus was the first vampire known in existence. He started creating more by a venom now extinct today that turned humans into us unlike brainless zombies.
  He was a monster or a demon as told by the humans. He sucked the humans blood for his survival. He made his way around traveling from city to city, but when he came to Venice he wanted to settle. He lie out in the streets napping in shady places, back then we could be in the light of the sun. He napped around till someone found him. A young women, she had dark brown hair and brown eyes. Her skin was soft, and she had dimples every time she smiled. She looked at Marcus and worried, no one should be out on the streets. She had offered him a place to stay food and clothing. She wore a long dress that touched the ground slightly. At first he didn't know what to believe. He took up her offer, and soon fell in love. He wanted her to be with him for eternity, he hadn't aged since he was 20.
So when she was asleep, he crept into her room, and bit her. Making her into what we are. He took her our into places and taught her to hunt if she didn't want to kill humans. But word had already spread about the Demon in the country. One man vowed to kill him if he could be their ruler, or leader. At this time, Marcus had kids. Once he saw heard of the warning he hid his family in a safe place and stood up to the man. His name was Raffaele. Marcus lurched at him with his teeth bared, he jumped on him and wrapped his jaws around the human, and bit down. He was intending to killt he human, but nothing happened. Raffaele, grabbed Marcus' chest and threw him down. He then stepped on his chest and pushed. He crushed the ribs and heart in one push. After a few minutes Marcus was pronounced dead. He came back with Marcus's body and he became their leader, or noble. The only other vampires at this time were his wife and kids, who were wandering around aimlessly. His wife wanted vengeance on the man who killed her beloved, and hunted down people to eat and turn them into vampires. They lived in secrecy for awhile. Then after awhile when they gathered enough Vampires, she kept her kids safe, and led them to attack the humans. A whole war started between the races, and kept on for hundreds of years. Until, one noble vampire, decided to make a treaty.  He and the human noble signed ending the war. Now humans and Vampires live together in provinces, that are surrounded by walls, a thick forest, as well as werewolves and Sirens.
